Bishop Neofitos of Eastern Kenya Visits Monastery
In March, we were very graced by the visit of His Grace Neofitos, Bishop of Mt. Kenya and Eastern Kenya. He came with Priest Achilles Karathanos from Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Swansea, IL. He was presented with a newly written icon of St. Moses the Black. His Grace said that he was wondering what to name a newly formed parish near Mt. Kenya. But after receiving the icon, he knew he would dedicate the parish to St. Moses the Black! Holy Father Moses, pray to God for us and our brothers and sisters throughout the USA and the new parish in Kenya! Glory to Jesus Christ!
