Schedule for Nativity

What a joyous time of year! So many celebrate Christmas, the Birth of Jesus Christ, on December 25. For all of you who do, we wish you a Merry Christmas and say with rejoicing, "Christ is Born! Let us Glorify Him!" In many of the Orthodox Churches, we celebrate it on January 7, which is according to the Julian Calendar, rather than the Gregorian. As a result, we will have our church services starting on the 5th of January and continuing through the 7th of January.

Here is the upcoming schedule:

Friday January 5, 2024

8:00 - 10:00 am The Royal Hours

4:30 - 6:30 pm Vigil for Christmas Eve (Vespers/Matins)

Saturday January 6, 2024 Christmas Eve

10:00 am Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom

11:30 am Vespers for the Eve of Nativity (Meal following)

7:00 pm Blessing and Burning of Banjak Log. We will sing Christmas Carols and distribute candies to the children

10:30 pm Matins for Nativity

Midnight Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great

Finger food following where we will break the fast.

All are welcome! Bring a friend, family, and let's celebrate the Son of God being born of the Virgin Mary to save us all!
