Service Schedule for Nativity

The following is our schedule of services: The monastery is on the Julian calendar. Thus, we celebrate the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ on the 7th of January (i.e. 25th December Julian Calendar). If you are planning on attending, please let us know asap so that we can plan for meals and space.

4:30 pm Vespers

6 pm Compline with the Canon of the Forefeast of Nativity

Wednesday 6 January 2016 (Christmas Eve)

6 am Matins with the Royal Hours (First and Third Hours)

10 am Royal Hours (Sixth and Ninth), Typica, Vespers, and

Liturgy of St. Basil the Great

Small Meal

6 pm Banjak Log Burning with distribution of candy and goodies to children

Wednesday/Thursday 6/7 January 2016

10 pm Christmas Vigil! Great Compline, with Procession, Matins and

Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom

After Liturgy, break the fast with "finger food"

6 pm Vespers for Theotokos
